Beginning in their early 20's, a man’s Testosterone begins to decline 3–10% per decade! Factors such as drug and alcohol use, stress, lack of exercise, and nutrition can accelerate this, and as levels drop he may begin to feel less like himself - he may lose intrinsic motivation "to do" and simply "be a man", his mental focus may start to wain, joint and muscle pain may appear unprovoked, sex drive may diminish and erections may be difficult to maintain, sleep may become restless and and all of this may lead to a subtle state of depression.

​Unfortunately, because this drop is "natural", lab reference ranges often include these lows, so men look "normal" on paper and thus go untreated, leaving them to feel hopeless and typically old.
